Recently a picture of some of the original department members has been found with the 3rd truck the department purchased brand new in 1969. Although retired, Old Number 3 still holds a special place in the hearts of the original founder’s families and current members. In honor of the departments 60th anniversary, Old Number 3 was brought out of storage and put on display at Fireman’s Park in time for the 2024 Fish Fry to honor the founding members. The truck has been altered some from its original state, as it was refitted in the 1990’s to hold a 2000 gallon tank instead of 1000 gallons. Pictured below is the truck as it looks now. The little girl on the hood is Estella, the great-granddaughter of Jack Rosenbalm, one of the original members, whose picture is being taken by her father John Vernon Rosenbalm while her grandfather, Jack’s son John looks on. The original members pictured are (front row left to right) Orval Enlow, Jack Wheeler, George Parker, Jack Rosenbalm, Otis Patrick and Lewis Summers. (Back row left to right) Joe Willett, Charles Lopossa, Austin Delp, Charlie Parrish, Albert Parrish, Ronald Lewis and Charles Rhea.
