The 2025 Eminence Tree Lighting went on despite some snowy weather. This years activities included decorating Christmas cookies, writing letters to Santa, decorating snowflake ornaments with Nancy Needler, and story time with a reading of “The Night Before Christmas”. Children were able to check out Tanker 111 and sit in the drivers seat! Santa arrived in a Fire Truck! Octavia Smith threw the switch to light this year’s tree and everyone enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies! The A&A VFD and Eminence Harvest Festival Committee look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

We want to thank Arcwood Environmental for the donation of HazMat equipment. This will allow us to protect members during hazardous conditions with chemicals or when members assist the coroner with body removal, saving our normal fire gear from exposure. We were able to provide Morgan County Coroner Mike Ellis with additional body suits, gloves, non slip shoe accessories. Thank you to member Harold Collins (employed with Arcwood) and Safety coordinator Rober Argueta with Arcwood for helping obtain this donation for the department.

Eminence Schools Career Day

Today, Department Members Cameron Collins, Cody Dugger and Devoney Collins participated in Eminence Community Schools Career Day. They discussed careers in firefighting and EMS services as well as volunteering. The students were also able to try on some of the gear. Thank you to ECS for having us!
